Since I can't seem to keep www.cdcofer.com up to date I decided to try blog format to post pictures and stories about our lives. Let's see if I can keep up. -Dean

10-11 Breakfast ont he Red Oak Victory
The SS Red Oak Victory is still undergoing restoration at Point Richmond. One of the ways they raise funds is to host a pancake breakfast on deck monthly. We attended with a bunch of our fellow Mustang club members a a few cub scout families. Race tried on the Captain's chair again. He fits better in it now than when he was 2. The boys sent ship to shore messages home via Morse code. Generally speaking we had a great time.
10-6 Field Trip to Buchanan Field
10/3 Camp Concord
The Lions Club went ot Camp Concord on the south shore of Lake Tahoe to close it for the winter, but winter beat them there. They woke up to a bear in the dining hall and 5 inches of snow on the ground. While installing the wooden window covers Elizabeth discovered the danger of roofs covered with fresh snow and became an instant snow woman.
9-28 Race finally lost a tooth
9-13 Fun Ford Sunday
Another Fun Ford Sunday at the Solano fairgraounds has come and gone. This year Elizabeth was the chairman of the show so she was busy all day. Race shared his Mustang Jr with all his friends and we all had a fun day. Race won a bunch of raffle prizes as usual. He is the luckiest kid we've ever met at raffles.
Sept 9 Mustangs and Mustangs show
Race, Elizabeth, Amy Jason and Aurora went to the Nut Tree airport for a Mustang car and warbird show. There was an incredible display of flying and static P-51's, AT-6's, a couple of P-40's and a few other warbirds as well as a Mustang car show. The event was also a WWII ace reunion and Elizabeth bought a couple of books from Mustang aces for Dean.

July 12th--Relay for Life/Lindsay Wildlife Museum
Elizabeth made a whirlwind trip to Dallas for an MCA meeting and returned about 11:00 Saturday night. She stopped at home to change and then went to the American Cancer Society Relay for life for the last 12 hours of walking with the DVMA. Race and Aurora went to the Lindsay Wildlife Museum with Uncle Jason while Elizabeth and Amy walked.
4th of July Weekend

We spent the 4th of July in Willows and it was wonderful. Small town America still has a lot to offer. Willows again hosted the Norcal Shelby Club for a car show and barbecue at a downtown park. The local Fire Department hosted the barbecue and the Police, with help from the California Highway Patrol, again closed the highway and city streets and escorted all the race cars into town from the track. Saturday and Sunday were spent on the track. Dean and Steve drove, Elizabeth and Cathy worked the MCA booth, and Race spent the time playing with Ron and Randy's grand kids. Yep, everyone had a good time. Saturday, the 4th, we went to the Norcal banquet as usual, and then into the park for fireworks. The park was crowded by Willows standards, but empty compared to home. Everyone was well behaved and having fun. We might Willows our standard 4th of July weekend trip.
July 2nd--Downtown Concord Car Show
Elizabeth was in charge of the City of Concord's Downtown Car Show this year. She enlisted the DVMA to help with parking and registration. It was a great event with classic cars surrounding the park where there was a Farmer's Market in progress and, later in teh evening, a concert. Elizabeth did two spots for the Channel 5 news, one live, and was featured on their website with her '65 Convertible.
